As this London-founded, care coordination technology company’s first U.S.-based VP of Marketing, I was hired to lead the strategy and execution of all marketing programs including:

  • Account Based Marketing (ABM)-focused digital and social marketing campaigns for demand creation

  • Branding and messaging

  • Awareness and thought leadership.   

 

Sampling of wins:

 

  • Successfully rebranded the company’s core platform developing a fully integrated campaign to introduce Lumeon Conductor

  • Oversaw the growth team’s adoption of best-in-class technology including 6Sense, PathFactory, Outreach and HubSpot to consistently meet or exceed 85% reach and 25% engagement among target prospects

  • Collaborated with a leading, outside PR team and expanded awareness in the market by greater than 100%, securing industry awards and analyst recognition

PatientKeeper/HCA/Commure

 

I was recruited to lead marketing for PatientKeeper, a privately-held, venture-backed, Electronic Health Record (EHR) optimization platform featuring a suite of solutions designed to streamline the physician experience. PatientKeeper became a wholly-owned subsidiary of customer HCA Healthcare (Nashville, TN), a $300+- billion dollar, public healthcare organization and one of the largest hospital companies in the world.  HCA sold PatientKeeper to private equity firm, General Catalyst, and PatientKeeper was folded into their portfolio company Commure.

 

Sampling of wins:

  • Collaborated with the leadership team through many inflection points including the acquisitions by both HCA and General Catalyst

  • Successfully retained and motivated the marketing team through numerous transitions with zero attrition while maintaining high morale and a continued, unified focus on exceptional results

  • Led the rebranding of PatientKeeper several times including key elements such as taglines, messaging platform and visual identity and ensured successful adoption across platforms and programs

  • Introduced innovative and compelling creative campaigns that cut through typical “speeds and feeds”-focus and created emotional resonance.  “The doctor is in, even when she’s out” for example, showcasing a mobile app for physicians to check on patients from anywhere at any time.

An online video technology platform company, where, as VP of Marketing, we introduced video as a fundamental marketing tool to top agencies and brands that included the Boston Symphony Orchestra, The Met, Toyota, Bob Vila and many others.

  • Venture-backed in a tough financial climate, operated a one-man marketing department that included overseeing strategy and implementation across all facets of marketing

  • Led educational webinar that generated more than 1,000 attendees and numerous sales leads

IONA was a public, international infrastructure software company that originated in Dublin, Ireland.  I was hired as VP of Corporate Marketing to lead a large team, physically distributed between the U.S. and Dublin, responsible for corporate branding, lead generation, PR and analyst relations.  

 

Wins:

  • Oversaw the activity and results generated by PR firms in the U.S., Ireland, France, Germany and the U.K. ensuring localized language and benefits resonated effectively while upholding the company brand

  • Maintained a high profile and leadership status with leading industry analysts in a rapidly changing technology environment, across continents

  • Participated in the incorporation of an open source division of the company, helping to shape overall messaging and protect any cannibalization to the core business

Samaritans, Inc.

 

As testimony to my passion for mission-based organizations, I have volunteered for over a dozen years for Samaritans, a suicide prevention organization based in Boston.  After participating in fundraising for a few years, in 2013 I joined the board of directors where I served as marketing chair for many years.   In 2021 I transitioned to an advisory role as part of the Samaritans Council where I retain an active role as supporter and champion for this wonderful team and cause. 

 

Relevant experience:

  • Development of creative marketing campaigns to reinforce the brand

  • Fundraising, including tens-of-thousands of dollars raised as a team captain at the Annual 5k for many years and participation in Breakfast for Hope events
